The Instructional Designer at Keiser University plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of online education by collaborating closely with faculty and team members. Reporting directly to the Director of Instructional Design, this position is responsible for guiding the design, development, production, and evaluation of engaging and innovative online courses. The Instructional Designer will consult with academic staff to revise existing online courses and create new ones, leveraging technology to deliver exceptional learning experiences that meet institutional standards. In this role, the Instructional Designer will conceptualize and storyboard interactive, web-based learning objects, integrating these components into the Blackboard Learning Management System. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with faculty members to ensure that course designs align with learning outcomes and accreditation requirements. The position requires a strong commitment to quality standards and service, as well as an awareness of accessibility issues and the use of assistive technologies in course design. The Instructional Designer will also utilize data and feedback to guide course revisions and continuously improve learning experiences. This includes providing support for the Blackboard environment and coordinating technical issues with Blackboard support and other technical advisors. The role demands the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changes and solving problems proactively and creatively.
