About the position

The Instructional Designer at Kroger will collaborate with various stakeholders to create effective learning solutions that meet business needs and produce measurable results. This role involves designing and developing learning materials that adhere to adult learning principles and quality standards, while also innovating new solutions to address emerging technologies and shifting learning populations across different facets of the company.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the manager of design, learning & performance strategists, senior instructional designer, subject matter experts (SMEs), and development teams to create effective learning solutions.
• Design and develop learning solutions that adhere to adult learning principles and quality standards, driven by measurable business results.
• Incorporate interactive materials for various delivery systems.
• Innovate new learning solutions to address emerging technologies and rapidly developing situations.
• Ensure solutions are instructionally sound and adhere to quality standards.
• Manage deliverable timelines and project plans across multiple projects.
• Perform analysis to determine project scope, learning objectives, and best training methodologies.
• Research effective training solutions and stay updated on instructional design methodologies.
• Provide regular communication to project teams, business owners, and stakeholders regarding project status and updates.
• Assist in identifying evaluation methods and tools to measure results.
• Administer learning management system (LMS) assets and functions.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of instructional design and analysis methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong information gathering and rapport-building skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in instructional design or education.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Project management experience.
• Experience using training, education, and communication methods.
