About the position
The Instructional Designer at Eastern Kentucky University will provide expertise in instructional design to enhance the delivery of academic programs and faculty training. This role involves collaborating with faculty to develop face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses, utilizing effective pedagogical strategies and instructional technology to meet learning objectives.
Responsibilities
- Apply learning theory and best practices of instructional design to partner with faculty in course development.
- Identify, plan, and implement instructional projects in coordination with subject matter experts.
- Develop and deliver professional development workshops on instructional technology and pedagogical strategies.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Develop resources and support faculty in using instructional technology for various course formats.
- Conduct literature reviews to stay current with trends in the Instructional Design field.
- Complete all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in course or curriculum design, preferably in higher education.
