About the position

The Instructional Designer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and evaluating training programs and performance improvement tools. This role involves collaboration with peers and subject matter experts to design new learning programs for both hourly positions and management training in a modular, blended learning format. The Instructional Designer will create various user training tools and materials to enhance learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative job aids, participant materials, and facilitation guides for various positions using design software.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop training materials.
• Conduct root cause and performance gap analysis to identify training needs.
• Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of training materials and programs.
• Develop storyboards for eLearning and video content.
• Communicate with vendors and multimedia developers for project execution.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Support the internal communications team as needed.

Requirements

• Familiarity with training industry concepts and procedures such as ADDIE and SAM models.
• Expertise in Instructional Design Concepts and Adult Learning Principles.
• Proficiency in graphic and video design tools like Canva, Vyond, Camtasia, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, and Acrobat.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
• Experience with Articulate 360 Storyline and Rise eLearning course authoring applications.
• Ability to create SCORM/AICC content for Learning Management Systems.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of experience in organizational design or instructional design.
• 1-3 years of project management experience.
• Proficiency in eLearning development tools such as Captivate and Articulate.
• Basic camera and video camera knowledge.
• Experience in collaborative/social learning tools.
• 3+ years of experience in the hospitality industry.
