About the position

The Contract Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating training solutions within the Training & Quality Improvement department. This role focuses on creating instructional materials for onboarding new employees and ensuring effective training delivery through collaboration with subject matter experts and program managers. The position emphasizes the importance of measurable outcomes and post-training evaluations to enhance learning effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop training materials and job aids for onboarding new employees.
  • Facilitate onboarding activities as directed by the employee's manager.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and program managers to determine training requirements.
  • Manage post-training evaluation processes, including assessments to measure learning effectiveness.
  • Catalog and manage distribution of trainings and assessments in the client's LMS platform.
  • Develop content for the transition from legacy systems to new technology initiatives.
  • Participate in meetings to address core needs impacting the applicant and client experience.

Requirements

  • A degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a similar field is required; MA preferred.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in developing and conducting training materials and assessments.
  • Knowledge of client's Operations policies and procedures is required.
  • Proven training and communication skills are required.
  • Experience with adult education is required.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Camtasia, Articulate, and Storyline is required.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
  • Experience in Train-the-Trainer activities is required.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills with the ability to create clear training project plans.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Salesforce training and implementation is a plus.
  • Experience with customer service and call centers is a plus.
