As a Steampunk Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a new training solution for our government client. This role requires you to work as part of a cross-functional team, engaging with end users to design an effective approach that ensures the adoption of the new system. Your contributions will include developing hands-on training curriculum and content related to the new system, supporting the training development, delivery, and user adoption of a new Learning Management System (LMS). You will also attend and present the training content in both virtual and in-person sessions, leading efforts to create interactive and engaging training materials such as training videos, user guides, and gamified learning experiences. In addition to content creation, you will need to understand and analyze business processes, collaborating with teams to transition requirements into training materials for the client. Analyzing existing training materials and providing assessments will also be part of your responsibilities. You will be tasked with producing, editing, recording, and ensuring that all audio/visual content is 508 compliant. Coordinating and leading focus groups to gather feedback from end users will be essential in refining the training approach. Furthermore, you will develop supplemental materials, including infographics, case studies, fact sheets, and video clips with closed captions or reference sheets, to enhance the training experience.
