The Instructional Designer position at the University of New Hampshire College of Professional Studies is a pivotal role that focuses on the development and support of online and hybrid courses. Reporting to the Child Welfare Education Partnership (CWEP) Course Development Administrator, the Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating high-quality educational resources that enhance teaching and learning, particularly in alignment with the contract requirements set forth by the New Hampshire Division of Health and Human Services (NHDHHS). This position is designed for individuals who possess a strong background in instructional design, online education, and adult learning principles, and who are adept at collaborating with faculty across various academic disciplines. The role entails a significant amount of remote work, approximately 90%, with the expectation of attending onsite conferences in New Hampshire for the remaining 10%. The Instructional Designer will engage with faculty to provide guidance and support in the creation or redesign of courses, ensuring that they meet the unique expectations and policies of both the DHHS/DCYF and the University. This includes managing the course development process, performing quality assessments, and consulting with faculty to identify areas for improvement in their courses. In addition to course development, the Instructional Designer will collaborate with colleagues within the CWEP and the University's Instructional Design team to research and recommend new tools and methodologies that support online and blended learning. The position also involves developing and delivering training sessions for faculty on educational technologies and online pedagogy, utilizing various delivery formats such as face-to-face, webinars, and online modules. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing documentation and resources in multiple formats, ensuring that content is up-to-date and accessible for both faculty and students.
