About the position

The Instructional Designer role at AppleOne involves designing, developing, and implementing engaging learning tools and resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, adult learning principles, and content creation tools, and will work collaboratively with subject matter experts to create impactful learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce engaging learning tools such as courses, assessments, videos, guides, podcasts, and eBooks.
  • Utilize video and photo editing software, authoring tools, and multimedia tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate) to create and enhance instructional materials.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to ensure content aligns with organizational guidelines and reflects key priorities.
  • Use storyboarding, wireframing, and iterative feedback loops to refine and perfect instructional designs.
  • Upload and manage learning content within Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Provide technical support and training to users on how to utilize learning tools effectively.
  • Stay up to date with trends and best practices in online learning, actively troubleshooting issues and ensuring continuous improvement of learning materials and systems.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably in mental/behavioral health or related fields.
  • Expertise in instructional design theories, adult learning principles, and online education strategies.
  • Proficiency in using instructional design software and multimedia tools such as Articulate Storyline, Captivate, and SCORM-compliant content creation.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and resolving technical issues related to course deployment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with subject matter experts and project teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
