As we continue to expand, we are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our federal client by creating content-specific training programs in various formats, including webinars and live virtual training sessions. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing and administering user training for the client's knowledge management platform. This position requires advanced proficiency in Adobe Captivate and Adobe Learning Manager, along with a strong background in instructional design and development. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in this field and will be adept at developing cutting-edge digital learning solutions. You will work closely with functional leads and developers to create comprehensive training packages and supplementary documentation that meet the needs of the user community. In addition to your technical skills, excellent written and oral communication abilities are essential, as you will be disseminating pre and post-training tests and surveys, reviewing results, and identifying areas for training improvement. This role is remote, but candidates located in the Washington D.C. area or East Coast are strongly preferred. Please note that this position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional design, development, and delivery services.
  • Leverage the client's Learning Management System (LMS) to assess knowledge gain and report training progress across defined user groups.
  • Disseminate pre and post-training tests and surveys, then review the results to identify training improvements.
  • Aid the client in designing trainings across a variety of models, e.g., live, self-paced, etc.
  • Provide logistical support for training events.
  • Identify the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) required for success in a specific learner context.
  • Collaborate with functional leads and developers to develop training packages and supplementary documentation to support the needs of the user community.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Captivate and Adobe Learning Manager.
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, human resources, or a similar field.
  • 3+ years of instructional design and development experience.
  • Experience developing cutting-edge and digital learning solutions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Program and project management expertise.
  • Experience in executing tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in applying adult learning theory and iterative instructional design methodologies.
