About the position

The Instructional Designer at American First Finance is responsible for creating effective and engaging learning environments by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify course goals and apply evidence-based instructional strategies. This role focuses on integrating innovative online and technology-enhanced components into course design, providing pedagogical training, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality instructional materials across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to analyze learning needs and define learning objectives.
  • Develop instructional content that meets identified learning goals.
  • Craft instructional materials, including e-learning modules and instructor-led training materials.
  • Use e-learning authoring tools to build interactive e-learning modules.
  • Adapt instructional materials for different delivery modes, such as classroom and virtual training.
  • Review and revise existing training materials for accuracy and relevance.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on instructional content.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in instructional design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of instructional material.
  • Provide guidance and support to trainers in delivering instructional content effectively.
  • Conduct evaluations of instructional materials and programs to assess effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field.
  • Experience as an instructional designer or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
  • Proficiency in multimedia development tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Camtasia.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in developing instructional content.
