The Instructional Designer position at Pasco-Hernando State College is a full-time role focused on enhancing academic functions through technology. The primary goal of this position is to provide consulting, training, and support services to faculty and staff, enabling them to effectively utilize technology in their instructional practices. The Instructional Designer will work closely with the E-Learning and Instructional Design team to develop technology-enhanced curriculum across various formats, including online, hybrid, blended, and face-to-face courses. This role involves consulting with faculty to identify and implement instructional technologies that improve learning outcomes, as well as analyzing and evaluating new technologies for potential applications in instruction. In addition to curriculum development, the Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs for instructors on the use of computer-related technology. This includes creating demonstrations of instructional applications, mentoring faculty in course design, and evaluating current instructional technologies to provide recommendations for improvement. The position also requires collaboration with various departments to assist in the implementation of instructional technology and to conduct workshops that promote the use of new technologies. The Instructional Designer will play a key role in publicizing the services and resources of the E-Learning Department, as well as troubleshooting issues related to software and hardware. The position requires travel to assigned campuses to perform related duties, and the successful candidate will be expected to stay current with emerging educational technologies and integrate them into course development.
