About the position

The Instructional-District Resource Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in coordinating educational placements and ensuring that appropriate services are provided for students with disabilities. This position is responsible for serving as the Local Education Agency (LEA) representative during eligibility, re-evaluation, and Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings at assigned schools. The specialist will assist schools in implementing the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) as well as federal and state regulations that pertain to students with disabilities. In addition to compliance responsibilities, the specialist will provide support to schools in various areas, including curriculum and instruction, behavior supports, service delivery models, and staff development. This support is essential to address the diverse needs of students with disabilities, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and educational opportunities to succeed. The role requires collaboration with educators, administrators, and families to create an inclusive educational environment that promotes the success of all students. The position is full-time and is located in Kissimmee, Florida, at the Exceptional Student Education office. The specialist will work closely with school staff to enhance educational practices and ensure that all students with disabilities are provided with the appropriate services and support they need to thrive in their educational settings.

Responsibilities

Requirements
