Apple's Instructional Products team is passionate about helping people discover what's possible with their Apple products - and answering their questions about them. We create the Tips app, user guides, and other instructional content for end users. In this role, you'll collaborate with team members to design and write easy-to-find, clear, beautiful content that supports users in getting the most out of their Apple products. The Instructional Designer will develop dynamic customer-facing materials for software, hardware, and services products. This position requires a love for words and language, with strong opinions about style, grammar, tone, and voice. The ideal candidate will be incredibly thorough, able to quickly spot errors and inconsistencies, and extremely organized to keep track of key details. The role involves handling multiple projects simultaneously, shifting gears on a dime when priorities change, and meeting aggressive deadlines. The Instructional Designer should be able to learn new processes and tools quickly, visualize and prototype compelling alternatives for presenting instructional information, and enjoy researching issues to develop innovative solutions. Collaboration is key, as the designer will work with team members in various roles, including designers, editors, engineers, and marketers, iterating on content to achieve perfection. The ability to write clear and engaging content for a variety of formats and tailor writing styles for different deliverables and audiences is essential.
