Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in implementing educational programming for students with special needs.
• Provide one-on-one support and tutoring to assigned clients.
• Support the academic, social, and behavioral needs of students as directed by the teacher or building administrator.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive learning environment.
• Maintain a flexible and patient approach while working with students.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
• Valid PA Driver's License preferred.
• State Criminal, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances required.
• Ability to be flexible, patient, energetic, and creative.

Nice-to-haves

• Two years of previous experience working with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred.
• A strong passion for working with children with special needs.
