About the position

The Instructional Support Technician III - Athletics at Merced College plays a crucial role in supporting the athletic department by providing game management, statistical support, and equipment handling. The role involves working irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on the athletics schedule.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, issue, and maintain supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Duplicate written materials.
• Prepare classroom or laboratory setups.
• Assemble demonstration materials.
• Assist students on projects.
• Perform clerical and recordkeeping functions.
• Repair tools and/or equipment.
• Keep instructional areas clean and orderly.
• Train and oversee student assistants.
• Fit student athletes with appropriate sports equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's degree AND at least one year of applicable experience OR
• High School diploma OR GED AND four (4) years applicable experience OR
• The equivalent education and experience.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
