About the position

The Instructional System Designer position at Booz Allen Hamilton focuses on developing transformative training for Information Warfare officers and enlisted personnel. The role emphasizes understanding customer needs and creating effective learning solutions that enhance critical thinking and workflows in the intelligence landscape. The designer will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructors to design curriculum, build training materials, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using established methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SMEs and instructors to capture training needs and recommend learning solutions.
  • Design curriculum and scenarios centered around the learner's experience.
  • Build training materials following the PADDIE+M model.
  • Meet with SMEs and instructors to discuss learning materials and incorporate feedback.
  • Collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model to fine-tune training programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with instructional systems design, training needs analysis, and implementation for adult learners.
  • 3+ years of experience writing instructor-led curriculum and storyboards.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification in Instructional Design, User Experience, or Human-Centered Design.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Navy PADDIE +M process.
  • Experience with Authoring Instructional Material (AIM) Content Planning Module (CPM) and Learning Objects-Module (LOM).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
