About the position

The Instructional System Designer will develop training programs using technology to enhance the DoD Lifecycle Management Platform. This role involves utilizing technical skills and creativity to create instructional materials, recommend tool solutions, and design engaging learning experiences for both virtual and in-person settings. The designer will collaborate with subject matter experts and product designers to assess training needs and implement effective learning solutions, ensuring that training is impactful through evaluation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop training programs using technology for the DoD Lifecycle Management Platform.
• Create instructional materials and performance support tools.
• Recommend multimedia technologies and strategies for effective learning environments.
• Collaborate with SMEs and product designers to identify training needs.
• Design engaging and interactive learning experiences for various modalities.
• Collect and analyze training results using evaluation methodologies like the Kirkpatrick Model.
• Continuously improve training solutions based on feedback and analysis.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with learning theory and instructional technologies.
• Experience in creating high-quality, interactive learning solutions for various settings.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems.
• Technical editing, grammar, and writing skills.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with monitoring and evaluating learning technologies.
• Knowledge of evaluation models, including Kirkpatrick.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Instructional Design, User Experience, or Human-Centered Design Certification.
• IC Instructor Certification.
