About the position

The Instructional Systems Design Lead/Program Manager will oversee the standardization and quality assurance of Tri-Service training products and programs for a government customer in Falls Church, VA. This role involves managing training design and development projects, providing technical guidance, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The position requires expertise in instructional design, project management, and curriculum development, with a focus on delivering high-quality training materials and maintaining compliance with established standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the standardization and quality assurance of Tri-Service training products/programs.
  • Oversee all aspects of training design and development projects.
  • Serve as the technical reference for subordinate designers and developers.
  • Set deadlines and assign responsibilities for contracted personnel.
  • Provide project timelines based on project phases and priorities.
  • Establish objectives and advise on technical advantages and disadvantages of various formats and methods.
  • Provide quarterly reports on the development of e-learning courses.
  • Apply project management and training concepts to ensure quality assurance in planning processes.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, SMEs, and stakeholders.
  • Lead the training team in qualitative and quantitative analysis of training products.
  • Perform logistical and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure 508 compliance on courseware and training materials.
  • Review training evaluation results and recommend modifications as necessary.
  • Provide input on training curricula and assist with the development of materials and assessments.
  • Manage the complete ADDIE process for all DHA approved courseware projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional technology, or a similar field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience executing the full life cycle of the Instructional Systems Design process.
  • 10 years of experience in ISD may be considered in lieu of the required education.
  • Ability to conduct individual and group training and provide remediation solutions.
  • Ability to perform detailed LMS administrative tasks.
  • Ability to plan, guide, and manage group training events.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to acquire a Common Access Card (CAC).
