About the position

The Instructional Systems Design Lead/Program Manager will oversee the standardization and quality assurance of Tri-Service training products and programs for a government customer in Falls Church, VA. This role involves managing training design and development projects, providing technical guidance, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The lead will apply instructional design principles to develop engaging training materials and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of training design and development projects.
  • Serve as the technical reference for subordinate designers and developers.
  • Set deadlines and assign responsibilities for contracted personnel.
  • Provide project timelines based on project phases and priorities.
  • Establish objectives and advise on technical advantages of various formats and methods.
  • Provide quarterly reports on e-learning course development status.
  • Apply project management and training concepts to ensure quality assurance.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, SMEs, and stakeholders.
  • Lead the training team in qualitative and quantitative analysis of training products.
  • Perform logistical and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure 508 compliance on courseware and training materials.
  • Review training evaluation results and recommend modifications.
  • Assist with the development of training curricula and materials.
  • Manage the complete ADDIE process for DHA approved courseware projects.
  • Provide technical assistance to DHA eLearning development teams.
  • Conduct individual and group training and provide remediation solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional technology, or a similar field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience executing the full life cycle of the Instructional Systems Design process.
  • 10 years of experience in ISD may substitute for the required education.
  • Ability to conduct individual and group training and provide remediation solutions.
  • Ability to perform technically detailed LMS administrative tasks.
  • Ability to plan, guide, and manage group training events.
