The Instructional Systems Designer I is responsible for creating and implementing effective learning programs and materials to enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of individuals within the organization. This role involves close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify training needs, develop instructional objectives, design curriculum, and select appropriate delivery methods. The designer will assist in designing and developing instructional approaches and strategies to meet training requirements, compile training and media requirements, and research data sources for instructional material development. In this position, the designer will interact with SMEs to acquire supporting materials and develop training objectives and test methods. They will design instructionally valid and engaging training materials for various delivery methods, including instructor-led, computer-based, web-based, and mobile training. The designer is also responsible for ensuring the integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans. Additionally, they will assist in the design and development of computer-based training, web-based training, electronic performance support systems, and other technology-based learning solutions. The role requires the ability to work within an agile development environment and scale design efforts to meet production timelines and budget without compromising instructional integrity. The designer will plan daily activities within company policy and maximize personal output while being receptive to all training opportunities provided by the company. This position is essential for enhancing the overall training effectiveness within the organization and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and standards.
