The Instructional Systems Designer II is responsible for creating and implementing effective learning programs and materials to enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of individuals within the organization. This role involves close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify training needs, develop instructional objectives, design curriculum, and select appropriate delivery methods. The designer will be tasked with developing instructional approaches and strategies that meet specific training requirements, ensuring that the training materials are engaging and effective across various delivery methods, including instructor-led, computer-based, web-based, and mobile training. In this position, the designer will conduct thorough analyses of training and media requirements, research and identify data sources for instructional material development, and interact with SMEs to acquire necessary supporting materials. The designer will also be responsible for developing training objectives and test methods, ensuring the integrity of task analysis, training requirements, instructional materials, and evaluation plans. The role requires the ability to design and develop computer-based training, web-based training, and electronic performance support systems, as well as creating flow diagrams and storyboards for instructional content. The Instructional Systems Designer II must demonstrate ingenuity and innovation in developing solutions to complex problems while working within an agile development environment. The ability to scale design efforts to meet production timelines and budget constraints without compromising instructional integrity is crucial. Additionally, the designer is expected to take responsibility for their own self-development by actively participating in training opportunities provided by the company.
