About the position

The Instructional Systems Designer III (Manpower) position at Chenega Corporation is a full-time role based in Jacksonville, FL, focused on supporting the development and analysis of Manpower, Personnel, and Training (MPT) documents associated with the SSBN Strategic Weapon System (SWS) and the SSGN Attack Weapon System (AWS). This role is critical in ensuring that the training and personnel requirements are effectively met to support advanced planning and operational needs within the Operations, Evaluation, and Training branch of Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and planning manpower and training requirements, updating and evaluating Navy Training System Plans (NTSPs), and preparing manning reports using BUPERS data. In addition to these responsibilities, the Instructional Systems Designer will coordinate changes to instructor manning requirements for training facilities, perform special tasks as requested by SSP or the Program Manager, and guide the activities of team members assigned to specific training groups. This position requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning methodologies, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, and plan SWS/AWS manpower, training, and personnel requirements.
  • Update, develop, and evaluate Navy Training System Plans (NTSPs).
  • Analyze, review, and prepare man reports using BUPERS billet and personnel data.
  • Analyze and project Annual Training Input Requirements (ATIR) for the MT, ET (NAV), and AWS FT ratings.
  • Coordinate changes to instructor manning requirements for training facilities at Kings Bay, GA, and Bangor, WA.
  • Perform assigned special tasks as requested by SSP or the Program Manager.
  • Schedule, organize, direct, and guide the activities of team members assigned to specific training groups.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities by Chenega policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Systems Design or a high school diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant experience in Navy manpower, personnel, and training.
  • Formal training in instructional methodology and adult learning from military training schools or college education.
  • 5+ years of experience related to SWS or AWS training projects or similar military technical experience.
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and instructional technology.
  • DoD Secret clearance.
  • Strong written and verbal English grammar, spelling, punctuation, usage, and pronunciation.
  • Knowledge and application of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
