About the position

The Instructional Systems Specialist will support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) by applying instructional systems design principles to develop and implement training programs. This full-time position is based onsite in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, and is part of a one-year contract. The role emphasizes teamwork, management engagement, and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and apply instructional systems design principles and the ADDIE model for course development.
  • Support multiple courses in various capacities.
  • Prepare course administration templates, solicitations, registrations, enrollments, welcome letters, travel orders, and review travel documents.
  • Monitor group inbox and respond to student requests for assistance.
  • Assist in administering and troubleshooting the course administration database.
  • Assist with training cohort assignments and updates.

Requirements

  • Must hold an active Secret clearance with the ability to attain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years' experience preferred; 8+ years' experience required.
  • Experience working in large and small teams.
