About the position

The Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) position at CACI involves collaborating with a team to create training content for the Fire Controlman Aegis courses under the Navy Sailor 2025 Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) program. The role requires the development of lesson design strategies, support for government reviews, and the creation of on-screen lessons within a Learning Content Management System (LCMS). Candidates must be willing to work onsite in Norfolk, Virginia, and must obtain a Secret-level clearance from the Department of Defense (DoD).

Responsibilities

• Review Government Furnished Information.
• Support meetings with Subject Matter Experts and ISDs.
• Research and gather missing content.
• Create and edit lesson design documents and ensure they are meeting design standards.
• Create Lesson Plans and Training Guides.
• Design and develop performance-based Instructor-Facilitated Interactive Training (IFIT) and Self-Directed Interactive Training (SDIT) content.

Requirements

• BA/BS or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
• Experience in AIM CPM/LOM.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
• Knowledge of NAVEDTRA 130 series, NAVEDTRA 132 series, and NAVEDTRA 136.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in team environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with using Merge, Manage, Modernize E-learning Development (MELD), Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or other eLearning development software.
• Prior experience working on Sailor 2025 RRL Projects.
• Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Active Secret-level security clearance.
