The Instructional Systems Designer / Training Developer is responsible for executing the agile and adaptable ADDIE process designed for training-related requirements. This position is contingent upon contract award, and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing effective training solutions tailored to meet the needs of various mission partners. The role requires collaboration with internal and customer stakeholders to identify training requirements and constraints, ensuring that the training solutions are both effective and efficient. In this position, the designer will analyze training needs and document the environment and other special operating considerations. They will be tasked with designing and developing scalable training solutions, which includes creating high-level design concepts and storyboards to support the development of training courses, materials, and platforms. The designer will also be responsible for creating and developing training materials, ensuring that appropriate system interfaces are enabled, and coordinating with ISD team members and engineers to ensure that training platforms are developed or modified to achieve training objectives. Continuous improvement is a key focus, and the designer will analyze test results, student feedback, and other evaluation mechanisms to enhance training products, programs, and platforms. Staying updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in instructional systems design and training methodologies is essential. The designer will also collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure the effective integration of training solutions and process paperwork for the functional area according to established procedures. Travel may be required, and the designer will perform other duties as assigned.
