About the position

As an Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) at LMI Consulting, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the nation's intelligence community (IC) by developing and delivering high-quality training programs tailored to enhance the skills of their workforce. Your primary focus will be on designing innovative and engaging learning experiences that excite learners and help them build their technical, leadership, and professional skills. You will collaborate closely with clients to assess their learning needs and translate those needs into relevant and effective learning content. This position requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles and the ability to leverage best practices in e-learning tools and technology to create impactful training solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end instructional systems design for a variety of courses covering leadership, technical, and professional skills topics. You will lead both the strategic and tactical elements of course design and development, ensuring that the training delivered adheres to industry standards such as ADDIE and SAM. Your responsibilities will also include transitioning in-person training to virtual learning formats, working with service delivery teams to develop training for new capabilities, and conducting course evaluations to ensure that programs meet established objectives and remain current with policies and best practices. Your contributions will be essential in equipping the intelligence workforce with the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of a modern, connected world.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end instructional systems design for various courses on leadership, technical, and professional skills topics.
  • Utilize industry ISD standards such as ADDIE and SAM for instructor-led, scenario-based, and web-based training.
  • Transition in-person training to virtual learning content.
  • Collaborate with service delivery teams to develop training for new capabilities.
  • Design and conduct course evaluations and curriculum reviews to ensure quality and relevance of training programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional systems design, training, human resources development, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience in instructional systems design, with approximately 5 years of hands-on experience producing eLearning storyboards and artifacts using eLearning development software such as Camtasia, Captivate, Storyline, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with online learning platforms such as Moodle and Blackboard.
  • Proven track record of transitioning in-person training to virtual instructor-led or e-learning content.
  • Ability to multi-task and build strong relationships with customers.
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
