About the position

The Instructional Systems Designer will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing training programs for the government sector. This position focuses on creating innovative and engaging training materials using government-standard educational techniques, ensuring that the training meets the needs of stakeholders and aligns with contract requirements. The role requires a strong background in instructional design and development, particularly in military or similar training environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and update innovative and engaging training materials using government-standard educational techniques.
• Apply instructional systems design (ISD) knowledge for professional development, including curricula design, development, evaluation, and modification.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with stakeholders, customers, and team members.
• Manage the development, review, and modification process of technical documents, including course materials, reports, manuals, presentations, and guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or instructional systems development.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in military or similar training systems development.
• 5 years' experience in computer-based training, interactive simulation, and/or video curriculum development.
• 5 years' experience facilitating design sessions to gain detailed insight on learning requirements.
• 2 years' experience with training development tools (e.g., Storyline, Captivate).
• 5 years' experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and MS SharePoint.

Nice-to-haves

• Graphic design experience using Photoshop, Illustrator, or other appropriate image editing software.
