About the position

Trident Technologies and Consulting - Global, LLC (d.b.a. T2C-Global) is seeking a motivated and talented Instructional Systems Designer to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This position is a full-time role and is contingent upon contract award. As a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Certified Woman Owned Florida Business Enterprise, T2C-Global specializes in providing innovative global defense services and solutions. The Instructional Systems Designer will play a crucial role in enhancing the training of Navy Reserve personnel worldwide through effective curriculum development and instructional material creation. The successful candidate will conduct training evaluations and research to design and develop instructional materials that meet the specific needs of the Navy Reserve. This includes providing support for Curriculum Control Authority and Course Curriculum Model Management. The role requires maintaining strong communication skills, including drafting correspondence, proofreading, validating training materials, preparing briefs, and delivering formal instruction and presentations. The Instructional Systems Designer will also validate training materials, prepare briefs, and draft reports to support training validation efforts. In addition, the candidate will assist the Learning Standards Officer in evaluating the efficiency of course materials and will be involved in various analyses such as Front End Analysis (FEA), Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA), Training Requirement Review (TRR), and Business Case Analysis (BCA). Based on the results of these analyses, the designer will offer recommendations on course curricula. The role also involves developing E-Learning materials and curricula that comply with Navy standardized E-Learning systems, utilizing government-furnished computer and software.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct training evaluation and research to design and develop instruction for Navy Reserve personnel.
  • Develop curriculum and instructional materials to meet Navy Reserve needs as part of Curriculum Control Authority and Course Curriculum Model Management support.
  • Maintain communication skills including drafting correspondence, proofreading, and validating training material.
  • Prepare briefs, provide formal instruction/facilitation, and make presentations.
  • Validate training material and draft reports to support training validation.
  • Support Learning Standards Officer in evaluating course materials and assist with various analyses (FEA, JDTA, TRR, BCA).
  • Assist in the development and preparation of course curricula, student guides, and instructional media material.
  • Develop E-Learning materials compliant with Navy standardized E-Learning systems.

Requirements

  • Current DoD Active SECRET clearance
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Instructional System Designer
  • Experience with Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM)
  • Knowledge of NETC programs, policies, and procedures
  • Familiarity with Navy Enlisted Rating Classifications
  • Experience with open source e-Learning development software such as GIMP, SeaMonkey, Avidemux/OpenShot, Audacity, Synfig, Scribus, InkScape/Open Office Draw, or Adobe products.

  • Experience with Catalog of Navy Training Courses (CANTRAC)
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Naval Training Reservation System (eNTRS)
  • Knowledge of Corporate enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARS)
  • Experience with Fleet Training Management and Planning System (FLTMPS)
  • Familiarity with Standard Training Activity Support System (STASS)
