SAIC is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer to support our Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) program. The Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) is responsible for designing, maintaining, and developing both on-ground and web-based instructional materials used for course delivery. This position involves a comprehensive analysis of training needs, development and maintenance of courses, and conducting quality checks on course materials to ensure they meet the required standards. The role requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles and the ability to apply them effectively in various training contexts. The ISD will work closely with subject matter experts to gather information and insights necessary for creating effective instructional materials. This includes utilizing advanced technologies such as computer support, video technology, and distance learning tools to enhance the learning experience. The designer will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional materials and making necessary adjustments based on feedback and assessment results. A key aspect of this role is to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in instructional design to continuously improve course offerings. Candidates must possess a strong foundation in instructional systems design, learning theory, and instructional methods, as well as experience in e-learning design and training development. Proficiency in using software tools such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and video technology is essential. Experience with eLearning course development using Articulate Storyline is preferred, as it will be a significant part of the course design process. This position does not allow for remote work, and candidates must be US citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
