About the position

The Instructional Systems Designer will utilize established instructional theories to create and develop instructional content for Interactive Multi-media Instruction. This role involves designing asynchronous courses, developing assessments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective course development and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop storyboards and instructional video scripts.
• Establish clearly defined learning outcomes and performance objectives.
• Design and implement asynchronous courses with up to level three interactivity using Articulate 360.
• Create comprehensive written tests that assess specific knowledge required for job duties.
• Develop performance tests that require learners to perform tasks linked to learning objectives.
• Create lesson-embedded interactive knowledge checks.
• Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to develop training scenarios and example data sets.
• Work with computer programmers to produce comprehensive course-ware packages.
• Interface with stakeholders to manage objectives and facilitate course development.
• Develop and modify learning products including presentation slides, guides, and instructional videos.
• Use course evaluation data to measure outcomes and improve training programs.
• Simultaneously develop multiple instructional products and work independently or in a team.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen and pass a background investigation for a position of Public Trust.
• Ten + years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, English, education, computer science, information systems or related fields.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience applying FAA Safety and Technical Training (AJI) requirements to training projects.
