GP Strategies Corporation is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer who will apply formalized educational processes to develop training programs for employees across various sectors, including industrial, commercial, service, or government organizations. The role involves utilizing instructional systems methodology, such as Instructional Systems Development, Systems Approach to Training, or Training Systems Development, to ensure the integrity of the training development process. The designer will conduct needs, job, audience, and task analyses to determine training requirements and incorporate the outcomes into proposals for curriculum or course design. The Instructional Systems Designer will engage with client stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) throughout all phases of the project to solicit necessary information and provide feedback. This role requires facilitating or actively participating in meetings, both in-person and virtually, to gather information essential for learning design and development activities. The designer will be responsible for designing and collaborating on the development of learning resources in various formats, including print, graphics, audio, video, and animation technologies, to meet project requirements. Additionally, the designer will create instructor-led training using engaging training methods and multimedia products that facilitate knowledge transfer. They will also design web-based training that incorporates interactive exercises, videos, and animations to engage participants. Creative writing skills are essential for generating video scripts, scenarios, case studies, and other materials that enhance the learning experience. The designer will validate learning solutions through the implementation of objectives and assessments that promote learning and evaluate product effectiveness, ensuring timely completion of project components and maintaining training programs and materials. The role requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
