About the position

The Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) at Metris Global is responsible for providing instructional design and development support tailored to client-specific requirements and standard operating procedures. This role involves creating design documents, storyboards, and assessments to ensure effective training delivery and evaluation, contributing to the mission of training personnel for operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Provide design documents in accordance with USCG SOPs and other requirements specified in the task order.
• Prepare storyboards and/or outlines for content development in accordance with USCG SOPs.
• Select appropriate delivery methods and media to support the development of human performance and testing of competencies.
• Prepare and structure tests and practical application exercises as reliable indicators of learned tasks.
• Perform formative and summative evaluations, including pilot studies.
• Revise versions based on feedback from reviews and data obtained in pilot testing.
• Develop plans for piloting training experiences under task orders.
• Develop reports of pilot studies to finalize training products.
• Participate in reviews and ensure compliance with USCG TRASYS SOPs and standards.
• Demonstrate effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork with all government and contract team members.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Instructional Systems, Instructional Systems Technology, Instructional & Performance Technology, or Education (with a concentration in Educational Technology).
• Minimum of two years' experience using the Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process in the development of courses and training interventions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and computer graphics programs.
• Five years' documented experience in a related field may substitute for the educational requirement.
• Successful SSBI background investigation.
