As an Instructional Systems Designer at Guidehouse, you will leverage a broad and varied skill set that encompasses a deep understanding of instructional design models and theories. Your role will involve proficiency in both virtual and instructor-led modalities, as well as the development of eLearning solutions, training plans, and program evaluations. You will utilize your expert knowledge in adult learning theories to shape and guide the development and delivery of training assets related to systems training. This position requires you to evaluate existing training programs and implement blended learning strategies effectively. You will be responsible for applying quality assurance and design control methods to ensure that the team operates efficiently and effectively. Your experience in creating and presenting professional-level materials will be crucial, as you are committed to producing high-quality results. The role demands adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and you will function as an individual contributor while supporting project leadership as needed. To succeed in this position, you must possess an ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph, and be prepared to upgrade to FULL Scope (FS) polygraph. A Bachelor's degree in eLearning, Communications, or a related field is required, although four years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree. You should have at least ten years of experience in developing high-quality courses using a mix of web-based training, distance learning, and instructor-led training. Familiarity with eLearning software such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Camtasia, and the Microsoft Office suite is essential. Your role will also involve a strong understanding of learning design principles, writing for training purposes, and creating engaging content that effectively communicates complex concepts to adult learners. You will need to be highly organized, a self-starter, and capable of multitasking under tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with project teams at all levels. Additionally, you will be expected to demonstrate strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to transition smoothly between various projects and topics. Knowledge of instructional design models such as ADDIE and SAM will be critical in applying best practices to your work.
