About the position
The Instructional Systems Specialist will be responsible for the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) of educational curriculum using instructional technology and adult learning theory. This role involves operating relevant hardware and software to design and develop training programs, applying Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles, and evaluating the effectiveness of various instructional methods for Aviation Branch Personnel.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Instructional Systems Specialist for the ADDIE process in curriculum development.
- Operate hardware and software to design and develop training programs.
- Apply ISD theory and principles in analyzing job task requirements for training programs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of adult classroom instruction and multimedia instruction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester hours in relevant areas such as learning theory, instructional design practices, educational evaluation, instructional product development, or computers in education and training.
- One year of specialized experience in designing training using ADDIE, applying ISD for adult personnel, and evaluating training materials.
- PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field, or 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education.
