About the position

SAIC is seeking an Instructional Web Designer to join its Space & Intel Business Group, focusing on the design, development, and production of media elements and interactions for adult learning solutions. This role involves creating various learning solutions, including graphics, websites, online courses, and other training artifacts to support both online and face-to-face training. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and is based in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities

• Develop new courses and learning solutions in various delivery modalities.
• Make major revisions to existing courses and establish design standards.
• Provide guidance material and coach new instructors in course delivery.
• Conduct needs assessments and instructional-related research and analysis.
• Create and design courses and lessons, including delivery and evaluation.
• Research, design, develop, document, and implement media products for training courses.
• Create training materials such as WBTs, online courses, and websites.
• Maintain and support WBTs, online training courses, and other media projects.
• Support in-class learning technologies and general photography needs.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree with 14+ years of experience, Master's with 12+ years, or PhD/JD with 9+ years of experience.
• Experience working in a training environment.
• Experience using Joomla for site design and administration.
• Experience developing WBTs and online training courses.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.).
• Experience with CSS and HTML.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS OneNote, and MS Word.
• Experience solving complex application development problems.
• Ability to provide advice on product design.
• Experience with Adobe Captivate.
• Experience designing and maintaining websites.
• Knowledge of content creation and management tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with JIRA or other IT ticket systems.
• Familiarity with accessing images from subscription platforms like ENVATO and Shutterstock.
