About the position

The Instructor, Chemical Engineering Technology position is an adjunct role at Houston Community College aimed at delivering high-quality education in the field of Chemical Engineering. Responsibilities

  • Teach Chemical Engineering Technology courses to students.
  • Assist students with career opportunities such as co-ops, part-time jobs, and work-study programs.
  • Evaluate program curricula and instructional practices.
  • Advise students on academic and career pathways.
  • Review books and new learning materials for the program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Natural Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related field required; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of college-level teaching experience or three to ten years of related work experience required.
  • Experience with operation and methods for analytical instruments such as GC, AA/ICP, FTIR, GC-MS, UV/Visible, HPLC, GPC, and automatic titrators.
  • Experience with supervision/training of lab technicians and development of curriculum and instructional materials preferred.
