About the position
The Instructor, Chemical Engineering Technology position is an adjunct role at Houston Community College aimed at delivering high-quality education in the field of Chemical Engineering. Responsibilities
- Teach Chemical Engineering Technology courses to students.
- Assist students with career opportunities such as co-ops, part-time jobs, and work-study programs.
- Evaluate program curricula and instructional practices.
- Advise students on academic and career pathways.
- Review books and new learning materials for the program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Natural Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related field required; Master's preferred.
- Minimum of one year of college-level teaching experience or three to ten years of related work experience required.
- Experience with operation and methods for analytical instruments such as GC, AA/ICP, FTIR, GC-MS, UV/Visible, HPLC, GPC, and automatic titrators.
- Experience with supervision/training of lab technicians and development of curriculum and instructional materials preferred.
