About the position

The Instructor: Counselor Education position at Oregon State University is a full-time, 12-month, fixed-term role within the College of Education. Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical teaching and supervision for counseling students.
  • Engage in service activities within the College of Education.
  • Prepare and deliver course content in both online and in-person formats.
  • Mentor and advise students, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds.
  • Supervise counseling practica and internships.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in counseling or a closely related discipline.
  • Record of work with underrepresented/underserved students.
  • Evidence of training and experience in counseling supervision.
  • Relevant counseling credentials (e.g., Board Certified Counselor [NBCC]).
  • Licensed or license eligible in Oregon (e.g., Licensed School Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor).

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate of a counseling program accredited by CACREP.
  • Graduate of a counseling/counselor education and supervision doctoral program.
  • Experience mentoring and advising students within a cohort model.
  • Experience supervising counseling practica and internships.
  • Experience teaching counseling courses.
