About the position
The position involves conducting research experiments requiring knowledge in the field of Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Epigenetics and Molecular Carcinogenesis, Biochemistry and/or Bioinformatics. The role includes compiling, analyzing, and reporting statistical data for various projects, performing gene expression data analysis, and integrating large-scale bulk sequencing and single cell sequencing multi-omic datasets. Additionally, the candidate will develop and maintain software tools and infrastructure for resolving specific problems and discuss data and interpretation of experimental results with faculty members, collaborators, and laboratory personnel.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research experiments requiring knowledge in the field of Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Epigenetics and Molecular Carcinogenesis, Biochemistry and/or Bioinformatics.
- Compile, analyze and report statistical data for various projects including manual and computer-aided data abstraction and evaluation, computerized imaging and bioinformatics.
- Perform gene expression data analysis / transcriptomics and genomic data analysis.
- Responsible for the integration of large-scale bulk sequencing and single cell sequencing multi-omic datasets.
- Develop and maintain software tools and infrastructure for resolving specific problems.
- Discuss data and interpretation of experimental results with faculty members, collaborators and laboratory personnel.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent) from an accredited school.
- Two (2) years' experience as postdoctoral fellow or equivalent in a research environment.
- Evidence of consistent research of high quality and dedication to a career in cancer research.
