About the position

The College of Law at Michigan State University is currently establishing a pool of part-time, fixed-term instructors to teach professional and graduate courses in law and law-related classes. These positions will be filled on an as-needed basis for the spring semesters, allowing for flexibility in scheduling and course offerings. Instructors will be responsible for developing and teaching courses, providing guidance to students during class and office hours, and assisting with the promotion and development of MSU College of Law programming. Courses may be offered in-person or online, catering to a diverse student body and adapting to various learning environments. In addition to teaching opportunities based in East Lansing, the College of Law anticipates needs for its online program, particularly the Global Food Law Program. This online program is designed to prepare students to influence food policy, interpret international laws and regulations governing the food system, and bridge the gap between regulators and industry. Candidates for these part-time, fixed-term faculty positions will be expected to develop and teach online classes within this program. The ideal candidates will possess a legal background, experience working in the industry, and experience teaching online using the D2L platform.
