About the position

The Operations Instructor or Sr Ops Training Instructor role at Constellation focuses on enhancing the performance of plant operations through effective training programs. This position is responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of nuclear licensed Operations training programs, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and incorporate the latest operational insights. The role aims to drive performance improvement and support business initiatives within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive station and personnel performance improvement through training.
  • Coordinate and conduct performance-based licensed or non-licensed training programs.
  • Ensure training programs are current and incorporate information from regulatory and operational reports.
  • Prepare trainee examinations and conduct evaluations in various training environments.
  • Conduct counseling sessions for trainees and develop individualized training programs.
  • Support business initiatives, project management, and special projects related to training.
  • Maintain knowledge of plant operations and develop effective training techniques.
  • Supervise the collection and maintenance of auditable training records.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in science/engineering or education/training with 4+ years of related industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education/training with 2 years of teaching experience.
  • For Sr Ops Training Instructor: Previous or current senior reactor operator license or SRO Certification with 4+ years of related industry experience and 6 months of proven teaching in Licensed Operator Requal Training (LORT) or Initial License Trainee (ILT).
  • Bachelor's degree in science/engineering or education/training with 6+ years of commercial nuclear power plant training experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in commercial nuclear power plant operations.
