About the position

The Instructor of Nursing position at Ball State University is a part-time, adjunct faculty role focused on teaching undergraduate nursing courses in various clinical and classroom settings. Responsibilities

  • Teach in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments for baccalaureate nursing courses.
  • Engage with students in various nursing specialties such as adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, and critical care.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners and educational modalities.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university by the date of appointment.
  • Clinical nursing experience in the area of teaching.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to use and integrate technology in nursing education.
  • Current unencumbered State of Indiana Registered Nurse License by date of appointment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Teaching experience in higher education.
  • Earned doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Current clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
