About the position
The Instructor of Nursing position at Ball State University is a part-time, adjunct faculty role focused on teaching undergraduate nursing courses in various clinical and classroom settings. The role requires Master's-prepared Registered Nurses with clinical experience to engage in teaching across multiple nursing specialties, including adult health, pediatrics, and critical care. Responsibilities
- Teach in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments for baccalaureate nursing courses.
- Engage with students in various nursing specialties such as adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, and critical care.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners and educational modalities.
Requirements
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university by the date of appointment.
- Clinical nursing experience in the area of teaching.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to use and integrate technology in nursing education.
- Current unencumbered State of Indiana Registered Nurse License by date of appointment.
Nice-to-haves
- Teaching experience in higher education.
- Earned doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Current clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
