About the position
The University of Pennsylvania's Department of Radiology is seeking an Instructor of Radiology - Physics to develop a research program focused on quantitative image analysis, particularly in PET imaging. Responsibilities
- Develop a research program for quantitative image analysis focused on PET imaging.
- Collaborate with a team of investigators on quantitative imaging for clinical and research investigations.
- Evaluate methods to improve acquisition and data modeling approaches for various applications and radiotracers.
- Oversee the Quantitative Imaging Analysis Laboratory for PET analysis.
- Train new investigators in the use of image analysis tools.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering or a related field.
- Expertise in nuclear medicine imaging, particularly PET-CT instruments.
- Experience with kinetic modeling methods for various applications in brain and body.
- Proficiency in image processing and analysis tools such as PMOD and MIM.
- Experience with software modeling tools like PMOD and MATLAB.
- Knowledge of data acquisition, data corrections, and image reconstruction methods in PET.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in developing independent research programs.
- Familiarity with dynamic imaging protocols and kinetic modeling of 4D images.
