About the position

The Instructor of Social Work position at Oregon State University is a full-time, 9-month, fixed-term faculty role focused on providing instruction in the new Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program and the planned Masters of Social Work (MSW) program. The role emphasizes teaching and supervision in clinical settings, with a commitment to equity and social justice in social work education. The position is designed to prepare students for entry-level practice positions in social work, with a strong focus on anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical teaching and supervision for the BSW program.
  • Engage in service activities related to the social work program.
  • Develop and deliver course content for social work courses, both online and in-person.
  • Supervise student field placements and internships.
  • Mentor and advise students in their academic and professional development.

Requirements

  • Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited program.
  • Licensed or license eligible in Oregon as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Demonstrated experience working with underrepresented or underserved populations.
