About the position

The Operations Training role at Constellation focuses on enhancing the performance of personnel through effective training programs tailored for nuclear licensed operations. This position can be filled at either the Operations Training Instructor Level or the Senior Operations Training Level, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience. The role involves the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, ultimately contributing to the company's mission of leading the clean energy future.

Responsibilities

  • Drive station and personnel performance improvement through training.
  • Coordinate and conduct performance-based licensed or non-licensed training programs as required.
  • Ensure training programs are current and incorporate relevant regulatory and operational updates.
  • Prepare trainee examinations and conduct evaluations in various training environments.
  • Conduct counseling sessions for trainees and develop individualized training programs as needed.
  • Support business initiatives, project management, and special projects related to training.
  • Participate in audits and prepare responses to audit findings.
  • Maintain knowledge of plant operations and training effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in science/engineering or Education/training with 4+ years related industry experience, or 6+ years of related industry experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in education/Training with 2 years’ teaching experience for Operations Training Instructor.
  • Previous or current senior reactor operator license or an SRO Certification with 4+ years of related industry experience for Senior Operations Training Instructor.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or Education/training.
  • 6+ years of nuclear power plant training experience.
  • Previous or current senior reactor operator license.
  • An SRO Certification with 6+ years of related industry experience and 6 months of proven teaching in LORT or ILT.
