About The Position

The Instructor for the Professional Certificate Programs in Payroll Fundamentals at Kennesaw State University is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in payroll best practices and compliance. This part-time role involves engaging students through various teaching methods, assessing their understanding of course material, and ensuring they meet the learning outcomes set for the program. The instructor will also participate in course marketing and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education
• Five (5) years of payroll experience
• Current FPC or CPP credentials through American Payroll Association

Responsibilities

• Provides quality and technically relevant instruction of course curriculum
• Teaches students learning strategies
• Conducts teaching and instructional activities using educational equipment and learning aids
• Provides continual feedback and various methods of assessment measurement
• Assesses and records grading for all homework assignments, quizzes, and tests
• Completes paperwork associated with classroom and project management
• Participates in marketing of courses to prospective students
• Assists with course and/or program evaluation and continuous improvement
• Maintains acceptable program quality and satisfaction scores
• Keeps Program Manager informed of any curriculum or student code of conduct issues
• Records attendance in learning management system
