About the position

The Instrument Fitter position at Aerotek involves performing tubing on large compressor, low pressure blower, and dryer units. The role requires bending stainless steel tubing and determining the best routing for the tubing based on P&ID's and GA drawings. The position is contract-to-hire and fully on-site in North Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Perform tubing on large compressor, low pressure blower, and dryer units.
• Bend 1/4", 1/2", and 3/8" stainless steel tubing, with occasional bends of 1" tubing.
• Determine the best route for the tubing according to P&ID's and GA drawings.
• Install the instrument rack/control panel to the compressor units.

Requirements

• Experience in tubing bending.
• Knowledge of P&ID's.
• Understanding of GA drawings.
• Ability to determine tube route without blueprint instructions.
