About the position
The Instrument Technician position at Sasol's East Plant in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is a critical role that involves the analysis and resolution of faulty instrument conditions to ensure optimal operational and quality standards within the plant. Responsibilities
- Analyze and determine causes of faulty instrument conditions and eliminate them by repair, calibration, and adjustment.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance duties of instrumentation utilizing standard testing equipment.
- Overhaul, clean, repair, adjust, and/or calibrate various types of instrumentation.
- Install and adjust new equipment and accessories for use in new installations.
- Maintain analyzers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience applicable to Instrumentation.
- Technical, industrial, craft degree or other training applicable to Instrumentation.
- Acceptable work history.
- Ability to safely perform essential job functions.
- Requires physical abilities to climb stairs and ladders and perform moderate lifting.
