About the position

As an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer at Kerry, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of instrumentation testing protocols and procedures. This includes creating preventive maintenance programs and establishing a resource library for electricians to ensure that all instrumentation operations comply with quality parameters. You will assist in identifying and scheduling routine and planned maintenance, as well as troubleshooting and addressing technical issues or concerns that may arise in the manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will also involve evaluating existing instrumentation and processes to enhance system efficiency and reliability. Conducting root cause analysis will be a key part of your role, allowing you to identify underlying issues and implement effective solutions. Additionally, you may be required to assist in training production staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge to operate instrumentation effectively. Collaboration with operations and engineering teams will be essential as you work to design and develop new control processes. You will provide controls support as needed and assist with the installation of new control processes. This position may also involve procurement and budgetary responsibilities, requiring you to manage resources effectively to meet project goals.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical standards, practices, instrumentation, and NEC code requirements
  • 2 years' experience in chemical or other manufacturing/processing industry
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organizing skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analysis, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail
