About the position

UDR Consulting is seeking a qualified Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer to support an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project. The role involves planning, organizing, and coordinating I&C engineering projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and performing a variety of design activities related to control systems and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate I&C engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects during the planning, design, and construction phases.
• Perform a broad range of I&C design activities including design definition, control systems architecture, and development.
• Engage in digital systems, PLC, DCS, network configuration, logic development, and process controls.
• Prepare engineering cost and schedule estimates.
• Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations and specifications.
• Interpret and apply National, State, and Local codes and standards for electrical design/construction documents.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical (Power) Engineering or similar accredited engineering B.S.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, and construction document preparation (nuclear preferred).
• Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards applicable to electrical engineering design.
• Familiarity with computer-aided drafting applications.
