About the position

The Instrument, Controls and Electrical (ICE) Engineer will lead all ICE-related efforts at the Bellevue site. This diverse and challenging role requires a comprehensive understanding and experience in instrumentation, controls, and electrical engineering. The ICE Engineer is responsible for ensuring electrical safety compliance at the site, adhering to Bunge requirements as well as federal, state, and local regulations. This position provides technical support and troubleshooting for the site, drives ICE-related reliability, and leads all aspects of related capital projects while continuously improving ICE assets and systems. In this role, the ICE Engineer will manage internal and external resources through all phases of ICE projects using a stage-gated approach. The successful delivery of project scope, safe execution, and startup of all projects, along with the delivery of targeted benefits, are key responsibilities. The ICE Engineer will collaborate across various areas, including Project Management, Engineering, Operations support, Reliability, Procurement, Project Controls, Risk, Information Management, and Environmental-Health-Safety-Reliability-Quality. Close cooperation with Regional ICE resources is essential to manage and execute strategic plans at both local and regional levels. The essential functions of this role include ownership of safety related to all ICE efforts, ensuring compliance with safety requirements in all projects, and providing training to all individuals involved. The ICE Engineer will design, implement, maintain, and improve instrumentation, control, and electrical distribution systems, while also managing plans to resolve system obsolescence and spare part availability issues. The role requires a constant focus on developing and delivering projects that enhance safety, reliability, environmental control, quality, and operational efficiency, ultimately increasing business contributions. Additionally, the ICE Engineer will lead Root Cause Analyses and work on improving reliability and reducing downtime of ICE assets through optimization of maintenance strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all ICE-related efforts at the site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems.
  • Drive ICE-related reliability and lead capital projects.
  • Manage internal and external resources through all phases of ICE projects using a stage-gated approach.
  • Ensure safety requirements are met in all projects and operations.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve ICE systems and processes.
  • Develop and manage plans to address system obsolescence and spare part availability.
  • Collaborate with procurement and manage vendor document review cycles.
  • Prepare and review equipment standards, specifications, and construction bid packages.
  • Lead Root Cause Analyses and implement preventive maintenance strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Controls, Electrical) with experience in all three areas preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of multidiscipline ICE experience.
  • Ability to work on multifunction teams and deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent project management skills with experience in controlling scope, cost, schedule, and benefits delivery.
  • Experience applying risk management methodologies and developing risk mitigation plans.
  • Knowledge of HAZID, HAZOP, and Hazardous Location rating assessments.
  • Experience in sectors such as Power Generation, Industrial Automation, Oilseeds Processing, Agriculture, Biofuels, Pulp & Paper, Food & Beverage, Packaging, or Chemicals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and other Microsoft products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 36 and 61 standards.
  • Experience with collaborative software like SharePoint.
